A botanist, an engineer and an artist invite you to unique distillation workshops.
With a mixture of knowledge transfer and practical experience, we demonstrate the exciting process of extracting plant essences.
We will examine the technical workings of steam distillation, discuss the properties of the distillate, and delve deep into the world of essential oils and hydrolates.
But our workshops are intended to be more than 'just' knowledge transfer! The space and waiting times should be used for human interaction.
Networking, dialogue? Yes! Of course! Open discourse too.

The 'Fat Bertha', as we like to call it, is a 250L copper destille.
Originally from Portugal, she's been around for several years and has had several owners, making her a truly headstrong lady. Bringing her into a 'healthy' balance is a bit of a challenge.
However, if all parameters are correct, it purrs and does what it is supposed to do.

As the son of an entrepreneur-family, I traditionally chose a technical career path. My grandmother and mother, the strong women in the family, awakened my interest in the healing powers of plants as a child. Always keeping a technical career in mind, I never took the time to pursue this fascination.
Major changes in my life situation have put me in the fortunate position of being able to deepen my knowledge of medicinal herbs and mushrooms and to take new paths back to naturalness and humanity.

Ich meinem 'ersten Leben' und aktuell, bin ich Maler, Bodypainter, Grafiker, Illustrator und Fotograf.
Im 'zweiten Leben', seit 2015, bin ich Kräuterpädagoge und Nusslikör-Produzent.
Die Summe der Teile erweitert sich ständig!
Freischaffender Künstler zu sein heißt, sich dem Leben, maximal flexibel, gegenüber zu stellen und das Spiel zu spielen! :)
Dieses Destille-Projekt ist für mich viel mehr, als nur reine Wissensvermittlung.
Ich bin der festen Überzeugung, dass wir Menschen wieder mehr menschliche Tiefe brauchen um uns in dieser eigenwilligen Welt wohl zu fühlen.
